We went to Mayo Monday for pre-op testing and appointments.  Our last appointment of the day was Dr. Myer, surgeon.  The MRI showed the tumor had doubled in size since February 21!  Based on the tumor growth and location the surgeon felt the risk of surgery was too great.  Well that was another gut punch! Treatment plan changed.  Without surgery I didn’t qualify for clinical trial.  They eliminated Optune, I will get Avastin infusions every 3 weeks at Mayo and am waiting for radiation schedule. I actually had my first infusion on Monday while we were at Mayo.
