Journal
Thank you all for your ongoing support! It's been a long couple of months. I finally managed to keep myself out of the hospital. I don't know what I would do without Pat. He has been incredible!
Yesterday I had another EGD-upper GI procedure. They were either going to replace the stent in my esophagus or remove it. Good news, they removed it. That means it has sealed the way they want it to. I can only have ice chips for a few days and if all goes well I will go back to a clear liquid diet for about a week then onto a thicker liquid diet for a while, then onto soft foods. I also got to come home yesterday.
I am still taking lasix (water pills) for the severe edema I had. It has seemed to clear up-I now have knees and ankles again! My breathing has improved as well as my pain. I am weening myself off of oxy and should be done taking in a couple of days. I am getting my nutrition thru my feeding tube 12 hours a day. All my meds go thru the feeding tube so they have to be liquid or crushed with a little water added. Thank God for Pat as he has been doing all of that!
I will hopefully be starting some physical therapy soon to work on my endurance and strength. I also have some neuropathy issues-numbness and tingling since the main surgery in my left hand and right thigh that I guess therapy can help with.
Happy Mother's Day to all you moms! Scotty will be coming over tomorrow for a visit!!!
Again, thank you for your continued support!!!!
