Thank you all for your prayers for us over the last week or so! We can never thank you enough for standing with us in this difficult journey.

We had a good follow up appointment today with the vascular doctor. He said the two smaller blood clots are gone and the one bigger one is about half the size it was when we were in the hospital. We are rejoicing over this good news! He also said that Mike has good blood flow in the toe so he thinks it will make a full recovery. Just not sure when that will be. The pain with the toe has lessened and we are so thankful for that too. It is still painful at times and keeps him from moving around as much as he would like so we still have a ways to go!

Honestly it is hard to update at times because we feel like things are just so hard right now. He still has fluid retention and other side effects of the medication. One new issue we are dealing with is he is experiencing shortness of breath. And he is very tired. He has slept better for a few nights so we are grateful for that.  We just need more of those good nights.

We are still dealing with some infection or irritation around the catheter in his chest. We are getting smaller and smaller amounts of fluid to drain from that which is wonderful news. We would love to get the catheter out soon! 

One of our former staff girls came by for a visit this week. It was great to see Drew and catch up.  She mentioned she was reading the book "Suffering" by Paul David Tripp.  Mike got the book and the first chapter really ministered to him as the author was putting into words all the feelings he has been dealing with over the last few months. 

Here is how you can pray for us~

Pray the infection around the catheter clears up, the fluid around his lung clears up and we can get the catheter out soon. 

Pray the toe continues to heal, the pain goes away and healthy tissue grows.

Pray he will not have shortness of breath and be able to sleep well at night. 

Pray for complete healing! and peace in the waiting.
