Journal

Okay, so... It's been a little too long. Let's get caught up. Last update I had an early CT scan that showed no evidence of disease (NED). This scan was too early because they need 2 months before they want to scan again, post-radiation (per Dr. Kovtun - radiation oncologist). That scan will occur on May 6th. I have a CT as well as an MRI. Both with contrast and without. I will also have, potentially, my last chemo that same day. Results of the scans will show that.

I spoke to Dr. LaVie - medical oncologist today and point blank asked, "If we do scans on May 6th and they look the same as the last CT I will get a break from chemo?"

He said, "Yes, I think that is the best plan."

I had chemo today (now yesterday). Everything went fine, can't sleep or turn my mind off (steroids) but don't feel like shit, yet. Usually Wednesday - Friday are the worst, by Sunday-Monday I'm usually 100-ish percent.

So, that is exciting as fuck! I can almost say that I beat cancer again. But scary because I need to proof.

So in between this chemo and the next Brittany and I will be taking a bucket list try to Italy for our 20th Wedding Anniversary (and an early Birthday celebration for Brittany). We are leaving the 24th of April and come back on the 4th of May -- 4 Days in Venice, Then 1 day in Croatia, Bari, Crotone, Messina (Sicily), Naples and then we leave from Rome but do not get to see Rome.

So here is to 2024 being the year of the Phoenix and we can rise from the ashes and bring back normal life. Whatever that is.

Love y'all
