Journal entry by Marty & Monica Peterson —
Today marks three months since we said goodbye to Marty. We have all been working on finding a new normal. Marty loved the fall. He especially loved watching the beginning of the NFL season, and the World Series. Which makes this season especially hard. I recently put Marty’s beloved mustang away for the winter, and have learned a lot about getting the lawn, and house ready for the coming months. I continue to be touched by the wonderful people in my life. It truly takes a village to overcome such a loss. I continue to take it one day, and one hurdle at a time. We’ve had multiple reminders recently of all the lives Marty touched throughout his life. The National association of letter carriers honored him in their monthly newsletter. It included a touching letter from Bob & Carolyn Fisher (Retired Post Master), a picture of Marty, as well as a picture of all the letter carriers who honored Marty at his funeral. The Catholic church of St. Thomas Becket had an all saint’s day, and mass of remembrance this past Saturday November 3rd. It was a touching mass of remembrance for all the parishioners who have died in this past year. As always thank you for your continuing love, and support.
Much Love,
Monica
