Hello Monica and family. It must be difficult during this time of year not having Marty (Dad) here. I hope you can find comfort in knowing that he will be having Christmas dinner with Jesus! And, someday we as believers will ALL be reunited in Heaven. We should always have a thankful spirit filled with gratitude for all of God's countless Blessings. Marty left to soon, like my Dad did. I was 22, and I had younger siblings. My grand daughter past away at age 12 after a 3 year battle with leukemia. I can tell you that for me, the best way to deal with the grief is to thank God for the time we had together, and to look forward to seeing our loved ones again. I dont think the grief will ever go away, but with God's help we learn how to cope with it. Some days are tough, other days we do well. The bible says to die is gain, and that in Heaven there will be no sickness or tears! The bible says when we grieve, we do not grieve as the world does (unbelievers), because we as children of God have the promise of Heaven and reunion. The bible also says Blessed are those who morn, they shall be comforted. Lean on our Heavenly Father, He will take care of you. Please read the poem Foot Prints In The Sand when you are feeling like you can't cope. It is such a beautiful poem. The author is unknown. I think he or she realized that it was inspired by God and did not want to take credit for it. We are praying for strength and peace for you all. Love Tom and Linda Raiolo
