Update on our beloved "Honey"! She is progressing every day. Her voice is getting louder and more clear to understand. She's been able to move her right toes and ankle. Which is a great sign. She also has feeling and extreme pain in her right arm. She was diagnosed with hand and shoulder syndrome.  Which is common after a stroke. It causes extreme pain. Treatment options are limited to nerve blockers and physical therapy. She has had a few minor set backs though. An IV with fluids was put back in to keep her hydrated as she wasn't drinking enough fluids. Also, a catheter was placed again because she was not emptying her bladder on her own. I think the nerve block they had been giving her at night to help with arm pain has made the rest of her nerves too relaxed. So hopefully we can decrease the dose and that will help with the urine issues. Overall, we are very pleased with her progress thus far. She has a long journey ahead but the good Lord above definitely has His hands on her. We cant thank everyone enough for all the prayers, support and uplifting messages.
