Sign In to Show Your SupportDear praying friends and family,
Thanks for praying for my monoclonal antibody infusions this week. This first time they divided one dose over 2 days and gave it very slowly to manage reactions. Yesterday to took over 7 hours. They had to stop the infusion 3 times and wait for reactions to calm down while dosing me with Tylenol, Benadryl, and 2 kinds of steroids. Today there were no problems at all, so it took just 5 hours.
Next infusion is next Tuesday, the 11th, in Houston.
Now that I'm out of the 'reactions' woods, please pray against side effects.
Regarding the fatigue ... (do you sense a theme?): I need to stay tomorrow to get a blood transfusion since my red blood counts are so low. Pray this, with the thyroid hormone and the ferrous sulfate, resolve the fatigue.
The cataract surgery last Thursday went smoothly. I'll have my other eye done next Thursday, the 13th.
I haven't been able to do much exercise (other than walking) with the cataract surgeries, so regaining my fitness is going VERY slowly. I also haven't gained any weight, even though I feel like I'm constantly eating.
Thank God for his care for Libbie and me evidenced in several obvious ways this trip. And for safe travels.
Love,
