Yesterday morning we lost our dear daughter Meg after a courageous 15 yr battle with brain cancer. She passed peacefully with family members, her hospice team and caregivers, and friends, all by her side. She was truly the joy of our lives. 

We are so grateful for the exceptional care and loving compassion of her Northwestern Brain Tumor Team, who sustained her these past 15 yrs. Under their careful attention and her fierce determination of “In it to WIN it”, she lived her life with a generous and joyful heart. She inspired us all. Your dedication and care moved her to become a strong advocate for the Northwestern Brain Tumor Foundation. Time spent on this endeavor was near and dear to her. 

We are also so very grateful to each of you: 

St Julie’s Parish and Church, all her dear longtime friends, her many devoted work colleagues, her Mother McAuley and Marquette University classmates, and most importantly, her close friends and their families who are also suffering with brain cancers. You have constantly lifted her and loved her throughout all of the difficult times. You were truly her lifeline, and she cherished these friendships. 

Meg touched so many people’s lives…her generous and joyful spirit will live within each of us now.
