Hey this is just a note and it's the only way I know how to reach everyone who knows my mom and dad.

 We unfortunately have had some bad news the past couple of days. Friday morning Dad was taken to the hospital for a possible stroke and then it has been confirmed that he indeed had a stroke. He has lost the ability to move his right side. He has difficulty swallowing and has a drooping face on his right side. Also lost a decent chunk of his ability to talk. With dementia on top of a stroke, hes just in rough territory.

They aren't able to do much for him unfortunately because of his age and just overall condition. He is stable. He has been doing a little eating and drinking with thickener and they are going to do a swallow study on Monday. No MRI because of his pacemaker. So we're just kind of waiting to see how he does. He had a previous stroke since his dementia diagnosis but they aren't quite sure when that one happened. The one Friday was a new one. Kick in the teeth. He's in the hospital in Fairmont Rm 204. And they won't know anything till tomorrow as for how long he will be there.

Just wanted to do a mass reach out to our friends and family who have been here for moms journey. Thoughts and prayers! Hopefully dad pulls through this terrible set back. I know this is my moms caring bridge and a tribute to her but this was the only way I knew to get a hold of everyone! Thanks!
