Journal
Friends and Family,
It has been a little over a month since Mallory's kidney transplant and many of you are asking how she is doing. Over the last month she has been recovering nicely and has been going to the hospital for routine appointments and labs to monitor how everything is going. Until recently, they had tested her antibodies to see if there were any signs of rejection and it came back positive (She found out this past Thursday). They performed a biopsy this past Friday to investigate and confirm.
On Saturday she got a call that she needs to go to the hospital immediately to start high dose steroid infusions for 3 days, followed by a heavy prednisone tapering dose. Today is the last day of that infusion. They also added a third anti-rejection medication.
As of now we wait, and we pray that these treatments will work and turn things around into the right direction again. We are trusting in God through it all. Please continue to pray with us for Mallory, and her medical team as they navigate the coming weeks of her care.
Thank you for the ongoing prayers and support!
Sincerely,
Mallory's Family
