Hello everyone,
It has certainly been awhile.
Without boring you all, I’ll try to update the best I can.
- Lucy had her port out in April, huge step in the right direction.
- We had her make a wish trip May 6th-12th we are so thankful for our volunteer Teresa and Make a wish MN for making this happen. I don’t even know where to start with that, submarine excursion, Hanauma bay for snorkeling. I was able to surf.. north shore adventures.. all the chickens Lucy could dream of.. (I’m surprised she didn’t try to sneak one home) A festival on our last day. We were able to have my parents come with as well, so thankful for that. Dad & Mom- I know you’re reading this, thank you for coming with us and doing everything we wanted to do. We found a fave breakfast spot. Eggs n’ things.. oh how I miss it. The only slightly difficult things about Hawaii was traffic and things cost a lot. However we lived our best lives.
- We are back and trying to keep up with these incredibly positive vibes. We have so many concerts to attend this summer and fall.. it feels like we are trying our best to do the things we were limited from doing during her treatment. Lucy is visiting the high school tomorrow, she’s discussed going into nursing after high school, I think that would be a great fit. Statistically most kids who go through something like she did end up in a similar field of work.
I’m sure this is rambling, Lucy has scans in July, we will update as we can in between how life post cancer is. We are heading to the north shore area for memorial with our good friend Anna and Lucy’s best friend Alexa.
