Journal entry by Lisa Hanson

Hello everyone, this is Lisa's husband Matt. I'm deeply saddened to post that on December 6th 2023 Lisa lost her battle with cancer.

She fought harder than anyone I've ever known, and had every intention of kicking cancer in the hinder.

Lisa was my best friend, wife and mother to our children. Watching her become a mother was the most beautiful thing I've experienced in my life.

Lisa was kind, gentle and very patient. Her personality could light up the room. She made more friends waiting in line to check out at Target than I've made my entire life.

Lisa defined beauty.

I want to share something that Lisa has imprinted on my life.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Love is patient, Love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

I'm nowhere near as skilled a writer as Lisa was, it seemed effortless for her. I hope she would approve of this post.

I want to thank each and every one of you for your support through Lisa's cancer journey.

Sincerely,
Matt
