Journal entry by Carlyn Stovall Manget —
Good morning,
Just a quick update on our favorite gal! I spoke with Lindsay for a while last week, and she was in good spirits - her busy, positive self. She met with her oncologist earlier this month, and they were incredibly optimistic. Testing showed that 6 lymph nodes are negative, and the tumor decreased from 5cm to 3mm - this is a really amazing outcome. She's starting oral chemotherapy at the end of this month - 'to put a dagger in it', to quote her oncologist (we like the sound of this - giving cancer an extra shove OUT of here). She will be on the oral chemo for 3 months (10 pills a day, 2 weeks on & 1 week off). There will be a final scan at the end to make sure that all looks as expected after this additional precaution.
Please continue sending love and light to Lindsay as she embarks on the newest part of her cancer journey. Everyone's sweet messages and gestures mean the world to her and her family.
We love you, Lindsay!
