It’s a great day. We just met with my oncologist and my scans came back clear
and I’m officially graduated to the next phase of treatment which will last for one year and starts today. I’m currently hooked up to my first immunotherapy infusion of Opdivo and we are thrilled that there aren’t any set backs or surprises. Because of the unique, aggressive nature of the histology of my tumor (and that it is high grade) they are treating me as if it’s fully metastasized to distant organs (when it has only spread locally outside the bladder to one lymph node) We are just so grateful for the amazing course of care that I am getting which will be bloodwork every 4 weeks, scans every 3 months, bladder testing and scope every 3 months all for the next two years 😳
It’s a lot but this tends to come back. Hopefully in my case it won’t and I can remain in remission for years and years to come 🙏🏻
Thank You for ALL of the prayers and messages I read them all and they seem to be working in my favor 🤗
