Welcome to Leo’s CaringBridge Site
Sign In to Show Your SupportLeo had a day full of appointments at University of MN today! We opted to go early to get some of the little stuff done before our scheduled appointments. When we got there at 11am we did the ultrasound of his upper and lower arteries and veins that they anticipate using during the surgery. We then did an xray of Leo’s chest to ensure his lungs were all doing well. Next up was his echocardiogram and EKG which all went great. Leo is so tolerant of all his scans crying minimally and most often smiling and chatting with the providers. Today we joked that he was attempting to do his own Echo since he’s so experienced (see picture). Leo also had a blood draw which went better than usual but found out it will need to be repeated next week prior to surgery.
We finished the day meeting with Leo’s single ventricle cardiologist Dr Joy to ask questions about hospital stay and plans for care after the Glenn. Forrest was with for the trip today and did so well! He pushed Leo around the hospital, pushed all the elevator buttons, played lots of video games and got to skip nap! We ended the day meeting a few Vikings players (Harrison Phillips & CJ Ham). Forrest let them know he’s a Packers fan lol!! We all survived and are back home eating pizza and relaxing!
