I am Laura Allen and I am writing on behalf of my mom, Laurie Copley. Please see the FB post below for an opportunity to reach out and share ways that Laurie has impacted your life:

As some of you may know my mom has battled Multiple Myeloma for the last eight years and in January was diagnosed with a secondary cancer called Myelodysplastic Disorder. Mom was told that there were no viable treatment options without substantial and probable risk so she decided to embrace the time she had left with her family knowing that ultimately God’s plan always prevails.

Since January we have had wonderful time together. My brother and his new wife Liz got married in a beautiful intimate ceremony in Pawley’s Island several weeks ago and it was magical and perfect in every way. Since then mom has deteriorated and has been admitted on to hospice services. Her hospice physician feels she only has a few weeks left earth side and we are aiming to cherish this time with mom and those that love her.

As much as I know mom would want to see and spend time with everyone, time is not in our favor. With that being said, I wanted to provide a way for anyone that wanted to reach out and share their heart with mom an opportunity to do so. I have created an email address laurieslegacyletters@gmail.com where you can send words of encouragement, memories, or ways that mom has impacted your life. I hope that this will comfort her in her final days and will also serve as a piece of her legacy for her grandchildren that she has that adore her and her future grandchildren that won’t get the opportunity to meet her.

If you've had the privilege of knowing my mom, you'd understand that her most cherished role was being "Boo." I believe that she was called to this earth to love her children and grandchildren well and she was incredibly faithful to her calling. She loved us more than I think is humanly possible and I want all of her grandchildren to always know what an extraordinary  person she was and that her memory lives on in those she touched. I know that her impact in the lives of those she knew will live on in them and I want her to know that too so that when she goes to meet Jesus she knows without a shadow of a doubt that she was a good and faithful servant.

If you prefer to send actual cards or letters, please reach out via text or FB message and we can coordinate how to make that happen! Please keep our family in your prayers during this time and we will do our best to keep everyone updated as best we can.
