Hello Friends!
We had a nice winter in Florida. It was cooler than usual, but we had little rain. (I got my share when I returned!). My cough finally resolved shortly after we arrived. I’m fact I just met with my pulmonologist today for my follow up and I aced all the breathing tests!
My leg continued to hurt so no yoga or aerobic exercise while i was away. I golfed and did some low impact stuff. The leg pain lessened some with time. Once back in Rochester, I saw a spine specialist and I have some pinched nerves. I had a nerve block injection last Monday and the pain in my leg is pretty much gone. I still have tingling in my foot. That might need another treatment.
I had my PET two weeks ago. It was OK, just OK. There is one small spot that either snuck past the immunotherapy drug or it is an indication the Talquetamab may not be working as well as we hoped. Since everything else looks good, even improved, my doc is sticking with the treatment, but adding a chemo drug. It will be something I just take at home. Combination therapies are growing in popularity. It’s the old one-two punch, I guess.
I’m also seeing my radiation oncologist tomorrow. He may choose a short course of radiation.
I am feeling better than I’ve felt in months! I am working out every day. I either ride my Peloton, my bike or go work out at the Y.
I even returned to pickleball Tuesday for the first time in almost a year. That was fun! I had golfed that morning so I was shot by day’s end!
I’ll have another scan in three months. I hope I will be reporting all clear at that time😍
Until then….❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
