Welcome to Heather’s CaringBridge Site
Sign In to Show Your SupportHeather has been doing so well! Lots of good news: 1) No more edema = non-puffy Heather. 2) Lots of pee and increasing poops! 3) Pretty good sleep, in longer stretches. 4) Oxygen saturation levels much better, so the nose cannula is off most of the time. 5) Lots of movement and activity. 6) First formal PT session today. 7) Cultures from peritoneal fluid and poop both negative for infection. 8) Heather is feeling better and better and is less grouchy with her nurses (and parents).
Housing: We have a house-sitting arrangement (after Heather is discharged) in Bellevue, WA for the next couple of weeks. We're still working on a rental (or house sitting!) from the end of May through the end of July. We are on a wait list for a rental with Home Together, a Seattle nonprofit for families who must relocate to Seattle for treatment at Seattle Children's Hospital. A Home Together rental would be the most affordable option (other than house sitting). We have another strong possibility for an unfurnished rental in Kirkland, WA. (We have ideas of how to get the necessary furnishings).
Thanks for praying for Heather and the rest of us!
