Nurse Jennifer is off on a cruise somewhere, so nurse Chris came today. It was a quick visit. He took Ken's vitals and visited a short while. Then he was off. Vitals are great, as always. Didn't really have anything new to tell Chris. He asked about Ken's appetite. Ken's still eating well, but not quite as ravenous as the previous couple weeks. Otherwise, pretty much same old, same old.
I did get Ken up on Sunday while the Hicks kids were here. Since the kids and I were hanging out in the pool, he let me take him outside to watch us splash around. After a couple hours, he wanted to get back to bed. He looked so tired. It's surprising how just sitting up for a little while really wipes him out.
Friday the OT came out again. She thought she had an idea for mounting the controller for the power chair to the back of the chair. She got the controller off and was trying to figure out what she needed for mounting it, but I suggested just leaving it off for now and I'll see if I get the hang of driving the chair from behind it. I've been driving it walking backwards from in front of it (and using the controller backwards) for over 2 years now so controlling it the "right" way is a bit of a challenge right now. At least I haven't driven it through the wall yet.
We also had a visit from the Chaplain last week, too. With all the health care workers, I just had Adin come out once last week.
Really don't have pictures from this week, so I'm including some from this time of year in other years.
