Ken is all settled in at The Cottages! The staff there has been wonderful so far. We are so thankful for them and the care that they are giving Ken. They have made the transition so smooth for him.

Ken has continued his therapy, with therapists from Mary Free Bed coming to The Cottages to work with him. His core strength has been continuing to get better and he can now sit up slightly on his own. His leg movement has also been improving and he can now lift and move his right leg. His left leg isn't quite as strong, but is still improving as well. His therapists are very hopeful and are eager for him to come back to Mary Free Bed for therapy, to work on getting stronger with their equipment there. We are so thankful for the progress that he has been making and pray that it will continue!

Ken's therapy schedule changes daily and he has some upcoming appointments in Grand Rapids, so it is best to check in before making the drive up there. Thanks to everyone who has visited Ken so far. It definitely lifts his spirits when friends and family come to visit.

Thank you also to everyone who sent Ken a card for his birthday! Each one brought a smile to his face. We had a family party this past weekend for Ken's birthday. It was such a blessing to be together as a family! We are so thankful to be celebrating Ken and how far God has brought him this year. God has been so good, every step of the way, and we cannot wait to see how He continues to work in Ken's life in this next year!
