Dear Family & Friends!

Kassie & Baby Nehowig are doing well! Kassie had her port placed on April 29 in preparation for starting chemo, and we are happy to report that the surgery went smoothly. She had a follow-up appointment with the surgeon today, and everything is looking great. Kassie will begin her chemotherapy journey on Wednesday, May 22. The plan is for her to undergo chemo every three weeks for four sessions, with the final session scheduled approximately July 24, 2024.

In other exciting news, Kassie and Trey recently met with the Maternal Fetal Medicine Doctor on April 26. The baby is doing wonderfully and is already quite the active and entertaining little one! And guess what? They found out they are having a BOY! The due date is right around Halloween.

Kassie and Trey have another appointment scheduled with their OB, Dr. LaNasa, on Monday, May 13, just before Kassie starts her chemo treatment. They will likely see her again the week of May 27th to check on how the baby is doing after the first chemo session.
