Journal entry by Julianna Cagle —
I'll get to the point--we spoke to my oncology team this morning and the MRI is showing no lesions on my liver and no metastatic cancer! Praise God! We have breathed a big sigh of relief that the MRI is clear and I will not need a biopsy or any further treatment. It truly feels like a miracle!
I have a non-cancerous cyst on my kidneys that we are going to monitor with my oncology team and a urologist. Additionally, I will have scans every three months instead of every six months for the time being. As for the pains that I have been experiencing, our doctors recommend seeing a dietician to track down the root cause. While I will continue down this path, I can rest easier in knowing that this episode was a false alarm and medical imaging shows that I remain cancer free.
Thank you all for being here for me and our family through all of the ups and downs that cancer – and the threat of recurrence of cancer – continues to bring our way. We are grateful for your prayers, texts, messages on Caring Bridge, phone calls, meals, etc. Feeling truly blessed to know how supported we are.
Grateful for the gift of life,
Julianna
