Time for our annual summer update. A few weeks ago Joe had an MRI of his heart and today he had a stress test and an appt with his cardiologist Dr. Ginde to review the results of his MRI and stress test. The reason he had an MRI rather than an echo this year was to get a better peak at things. The results of both were phenomenal. His heart is still functioning very well. His tricuspid is still leaky but not much change from last year. His conduit is still functioning perfectly. The results of his stress test showed that his heart is performing well when stressed with intense exercise. This is all very good news! Dr. Ginde thinks we are a good 3-5 years away yet until he’ll need his next open heart surgery to fix his tricuspid leak and replace his conduit. There will come a day when we will be told it’s time, but until then we are enjoying the ride!
