Jon had a good day in therapy.

His ability to swallow is improving and will have another swallow test in June.  

He was very alert and strong during all aspects of his physical and occupational therapy.  His stamina is improving along with his dexterity in his hands.

The best news of the day is the white blood cell count is almost back to normal.  The holdup are the neutrophils which reached a low of 0.1; the normal range is 1.7.  As of 16 May 2024, they increased to 1.1 and is should be 1.7 or greater in the near future. 

The plan is to be discharged on 22 May if he is medically cleared.

I am very proud of Jon in all aspects of his recovery.  He tries very hard everyday and refuses to give up.  Keep up the good work!!
