Greetings to you all from Mom and Dad. Jodi has had some amazing news. They went to MD Anderson expecting to have radiation on her brain as that was what was in the schedule. First she had an MRI and that's where the miracle occured. It showed the lesions greatly reduced in her brain and therefore, radiation was not called for at this point in time. Unfortunately because she had been scheduled for radiation, Anderson didn't feel that she could have it on her spine during that visit. Too much radiation for one visit. And by the time the original plans were changed, she couldn't get it arranged for the spinal radiation. So hopefully that will happen on their June trek to Houston.
She had an endoscopy a couple days ago as she was having difficulty swallowing again due to scar tissue. All was well there and a large balloon was used to open up her throat. Doc felt she shouldn't have to redo that for a very long time.
So all in all - it's been a pretty amazing journey recently. Still rough days for her but much good news and at this point in time, and no IV plans either. Hurray!
