Journal entry by Jodi Mathews

Not a lot going on right now. We met with our local oncologist on Monday. He is wanting to move forward with IV chemo since the oral one is not working. We will figure things out with MD Anderson. We are at MD Anderson now and starting radiation to the brain tomorrow and will also be radiating the lesions in the bone that are causing the most pain. The last time they treated a bone fracture, the pain was almost non-existent, so we are hoping for that same response now.

My biggest thing now is I really don't want to lose my hair. I know it sounds vain, but not only is it unattractive. it also makes me look sick. On the other hand, I can get ready in 15 minutes without having to do my hair. On a completely different note, I will request that, from this point forward, I only be referred to as Uncle Fester. Therefore, I will only respond to the name Uncle Fester. Have a great night, and thank you for all your ongoing support.
