Sign In to Show Your SupportDad died very peacefully this afternoon at 2:30. The thing that Dad loved most in this world was Mom. He has struggled and missed her every moment since she died seven years ago. He has also been so afraid to die. So afraid of the process of dying. We are very grateful to FairHope Hospice and the staff of Pickering House who made him so very comfortable so that he could go be with Mom without fear and suffering. We are also grateful for you, your thoughts, prayers, and words of comfort.
Due to COVID, we aren’t planning a service at this time, and hope to have a Memorial Service in the Spring. Please take COVID seriously. Please wear a mask. Please wash your hands. Please practice safe distancing.
Thanks again for your support. As we look back and try to catch our breath, we will read your words and take comfort in your care and your memories of Mom and Dad.
