Chemo #18 done and dusted!!! We enjoyed a wonderful time upstate last week and Jim was able to do some fishing , listen to his tunes and love life❤️. Tuesday we returned home to a phone call from the doctor that he received the dna blood work which measures the cancer cells in the bloodstream. The results show that the chemo cocktail that Jim has been on for 5+ months is no longer working. The cancer has mutated 😬 This means Jim needs a new stronger cocktail and we are not talking about Jack Daniels.
We knew this was a possibility at some point but as you can image Jim is bummed.
On June 11th we will meet with the doctor to discuss the options available for Jim, weighing the pros and cons of the options.
Please pray for clarity for the direction of treatment that is best for Jim. His biggest fear is losing his hair, so pray that will not happen.
Pray that this next phase will be tolerable for the summertime and all the effects the heat has on him. Lastly complete healing from this disease.
