Hello everyone! I wanted to share that Jason's doing very very well, is able to be alone and drive, so I'll be headed back to work on Monday, lucky for him! We went to Costco this morning and brought some treats to the nurses at the North Memorial ICU along with a thank you card. The look on their faces when they realized who he was was just so fun. Right when we walked in, one of them recognized me, and smiled a big smile and said, "Hi how are you?" and then kind of looked at Jason,  wondering if he needed some help or something, and then looked at me,and back at him, when I said, "Jason just wanted to come in and thank you all personally for saving his life." She practically flew out of her chair, her face got beet red, and she started calling for the other nurses to come look and see who it was,  it was so fun! A couple of nurses said they couldn't believe he was walking and talking with them, and said it was so considerate of him to come in because they never know what happens to their patients when they discharge. My only disappointment was that his doctor that was so good and wonderful wasn't there for us to talk with and show Jason's progress to.
We then headed up to Regency do the same thing and of all people behind the nurses desk there was his Dr.! He was so happy to see Jason and told him that his recovery has been amazing and he doesn't usually see progress this quick from people as sick as Jason was. Overall it was such a great thing for all of us. Never underestimate the power of a thank you!
