Hi there,

The only major update that we've received is a new stem cell transplant schedule. The doctors are doing a bone marrow biopsy on May 30th to see if he is in remission, and, if everything looks clear, he will be good for transplant on June 21st. Please keep us in your prayers for those two particular dates!

We met with Janson's oncologist again on Tuesday and there wasn't much of an update on that front -- no news is good news. He said that he was happy with the progress that Janson has made with the oral chemo regimen, and he is praying that it will put Janson in remission.

Janson's pain has also significantly subsided. He used to get pain episodes that were around a 7-8/10 pain at least once or twice a day. Now, he is typically at his baseline (around a 3/10). He does get moderate pain episodes that go to about a 5/10 once every couple of days, but they are nothing like they used to be, praise the Lord! His oncologist is not sure why the pain is still there at all but is hoping that a few more weeks will give the oral chemo time to kick in to help with his pain.

Janson and I can live almost normally because his pain levels are lower. We get to go to church almost every Sunday, we've gotten to go out on a few dates which has been really nice, and we even got to go out on his dad's boat on Sunday - it was really fun!

Prayer requests would mainly be that he is in remission on the 30th and prayers for me and my anxieties about the biopsy. Every new biopsy date brings a level of fear that I know is not of God. I'd appreciate prayers that the Lord just covers me with his peace these next few weeks. Thank you everyone for your continued support!

Here are links to help with some of our current needs. They can also be found under the "Ways to Help" portion of our website. There is no pressure to give at all! Thank you everyone for your continued prayers and support.

GoFundMe: General giving fund - this goes toward any medical bills, housing/transportation costs, the cost of Janson's nutritionist, etc. **Important: we do not see any money that is given through Caring Bridge - please give to our GoFundMe instead.**

Grocery Gift Cards:

Janson is on a strict diet. We work with a nutritionist to make sure that he is eating the right foods/supplements to help support his body through treatment. We purchase all of our food from Whole Foods or Mom's Organic Market and try our best to look for quality ingredients - this is not always the most budget-friendly, so any help here is appreciated!***

Uber Eats Gift Cards: This is very helpful for when we're at the hospital for long periods of time and I can't make food for myself. I work with women at church to provide meals for Janson, and I try to eat the hospital food as much as I can to save money, but ordering food locally can be a huge blessing to me.***

Lotsa Helping Hands: Just recently started this to put the rest of our needs in one place - people can volunteer to help through this website. You will need to create an account to use it, but it's there if you'd like!

***Gift cards can be delivered via email: kaitlangossage@gmail.com
