I thought I would take this Sunday evening and update you all on dad. This week dad was more alert at the beginning of the week than towards the end of the week. On Tuesday, we were telling him LOVE YOU dad and telling him goodnight and he pressed his tongue to the roof of his mouth very slowly & we are very certain he said “LOVE” It was incredible. So many emotions. Then on Thursday dad started moving his arms and squeezing a ball!!!! He can lift his arms you guys!! I know it may not seem like a big deal but IT SOOO IS after a brain injury like he has had! Friday and Saturday he was very tired, assuming from all the NEW things his brain has been allowing him to do! Also, possible neurostorming happening over the past few days…this is where the brain doesn’t know if it should fight or flight—with these types of TBIs it’s very common—God, all praise goes to you, and it will not stop until the day I take my last breath! Thank you for these little (HUGE) wins this week for dad! Please continue to work in him, healing his brain and body! Restore him and make him who he was before the accident! Jesus, please heal our dad. God have mercy on him. Your timing is perfect and the wait will be worth it, I know it will. A good friend of mine shared an amazing sermon with me the other day that made me see things through a different lens…one of the things the pastor said was..”You cannot plant and harvest in the same season”….how true is that? It goes so well with the healing process as well. You can’t have an accident and heal in the same season! It takes time, patience and so much waiting. But God promises us that time waiting on HIM is never wasted. While we are waiting HE is preparing us, giving us the skills we need to go through the NEXT season. God will not leave us. We have to TRUST in him and his perfect timing. Jesus will fight right along with us every step of the way. Believe that what you are praying for has already come to be. And it will be. 🙏🏻

Thank you God for another day. Thank you for the amazing people we have in our lives and the amazing people we have met along this journey. Each one has made an impression on us. God, please be with our mom. Keep giving her strength and peace as the days come and go. Give her heart rest. Comfort her. Let her feel you and your Holy Spirit. She’s a pretty great mom and she’s been through a heck of a lot especially recently. 

Continued prayers to the Skolout’s!! Thatcher is working his butt of at Madonna! God, we pray that you heal him and he is restored to the person he was before his accident!❤️Please be with Shelby and Jack and Mike and Terri as the days are incredibly long and grueling. At times very hard to watch your loved one have to endure. Continue to give them strength and unwavering faith. ❤️
