Izzy continues his most unlikely, and seemingly miraculous recovery from acute respiratory failure, which the preeminent medical staff, at the PICU at Lurie Children’s Hospital 🏥 (Click on Link: https://www.luriechildrens.org/?utm_source=gbp&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=225-e-chicago-ave_chicago_main-hospital ), or nearly convinced that this lofty goal was a near impossibility. I have spoken to a minimum of four doctors, who all candidly admitted that they were “happy to have been proven wrong“, but the overwhelming empirical   Aggregate data in concert with Izzy’s personal medical history, was indicative that it was highly unlikely that his lungs would ever recover sufficiently, to be able to breathe on fresh air, without requiring “the infamous, T World”, in concert with requiring a home ventilator PRN.  I personally have unambiguously witnessed what appears to be yet another miraculous recovery, as it seems likely that the celestial mission that Izzy was tasked with by the Omnipresent G-d, has yet to have been completed. The expression “what a difference a week makes“ has infiltrated my mind on numerous occasions throughout the  past 12 hours, as one week ago, at approximately 3:30 AM on Wednesday night, Izzy‘s life had nearly become extinguished, as his heart rate was below 40, his face was turning blue, and the doctor in charge of a lifesaving team of six individuals, was frenetically repeatedly, inquiring whether or not, they were still able to procure a pulse, as Izzy was, perhaps an infinitesimal step away from requiring resuscitation. 

Yesterday, a mere one week subsequent to that infamous Wednesday night, Izzy miraculously spent two individual intervals on room air for three consecutive hours on each occasions, and was not only displaying oxygen saturations have hovering around 95%, but also seemed remarkably relaxed, and in a state of tranquility as he and “Minnie mouse“ exchanged loving glances. If this was any other child, I would opine that the child has turned the proverbial corner, and appears to be sprinting towards the finish line. However, “Izzy will be Izzy“, and it is not inconceivable that he may still experience minor G-d forbid, even major setbacks in his herculean attempt to recover from what doctors legitimately considered to be an unrecoverable exhibition of respiratory failure. I eagerly anticipate what Izzy’s plan for the day will be, when his preeminent PICU medical team meets for medical morning rounds. 

Nevertheless, I must caution my readers that the time to recite prayers on his behalf is not winding down, but rather must be escalated, both in terms of quantity, as well as quality. It seems unequivocally apparent to me, that the hundreds, if not thousands, of prayers that have been recited upon Izzy‘s behalf throughout the past week have been heard and responded to in the affirmative, by the Omnipotent G-d, as it relates to Izzy. However, now that the Omnipresent G-d “appears to be judging Izzy while perched upon the axiomatic judicial throne of mercy, we must continue to acknowledge that any advances that Izzy has ostensibly made throughout the past week, have been directly and exclusively due to the divine intervention of the Almighty G-d, responding to the thousands of prayers upon is his behalf. I caution, those who have prematurely declared Izzy as having recovered from yet another near death experience, that he still requires and desires that the Almighty G-d continues to hear our most fervent prayers on  on Izzy‘s behalf. May each individual who has recited a prayer, or who has kept Izzy’s plight in their thoughts and actions, be repaid exponentially for their continued beseeching the Almighty G-d!
