When I think of Hollis, a Rilke passage from Book of Hours comes to mind: “I live my life in ever widening circles.”

Remembering Hollis Huston and holding Carol and their girls in my heart.

We shared our Oberlin college Years together, particularly those on stage and all of the Hall Auditorium days. I remember them oh so well.

We enjoyed Hollis’s sermons immensely and looked forward to hearing his insights, wisdoms and great sense of humor on the Sundays he led services at SNUUC. We are so sorry for your loss, Carol. We will miss Hollis very much.

Hollis has always been an informed and inspiring speaker. His musical talents have been such a joy to hear. One year in particular, Hollis read The Creation by James Weldon Johnson to open our Juneteenth service. His oratory was impeccable! Grateful!
