We are back home in Spartanburg and back with our oncology team at Bon Secours in Greenville. Hewitt endured 12 hour chemo as we are beginning a new cycle after finishing up with proton radiation at Emory. DeHaven accompanied Hewitt because I had 8th grade awards day, dance, etc for Pierce.
Hewitt felt rough after but still has an appetite for dinner-not typical! So we are back in our routine and waiting now for a growth factor injection he receives after triple chemo. I had no idea the oncology center was open on Saturdays.
So next week chemo will resume as usual on Tuesdays and then on Wednesday, Hewitt will get a to fly home (St.Mary’s, Kansas) to visit many of his friends at the Parish and from St. Mary’s College. He will be back in Spartanburg the following Monday in time for Tuesday chemo. Pierce also gets out of school that day and all 3 boys will be home for Summer Break! That hasn’t happened in quite a long time and makes me happy.❤️ Please continue to pray for us and Hewitt’s complete healing. Thank you dear friends.🙏
