Today Heather completed her final scheduled chemotherapy appointment! Yay! Sofía and I just dropped her off at home after a full day at UCSF. The next week will be difficult, but she is extremely relieved to not have chemotherapy scheduled in the future. Now she can truly focus on healing and recovery. We are hopeful that catching these cancers early will help her be cancer- free but also know this is an aggressive form of cancer. Heather will have screening appointments every three months for the foreseeable future. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for all the love and support! It has brought us, Heather’s family, so much strength.  We have just turned a corner but still have a journey ahead of us.
