We got some great news yesterday, Granger’s numbers are starting to come up! A few days earlier than expected, so that is wonderful. He was day 13 post transplant.
However, he Spiked a fever at 1am today, then was 100.8 then went 101. Granger was given Tylenol. Then it was 103. Drew blood cultures and will start antibiotics. They said every transplant patient gets a fever. They were surprised that he held out this long. Explains his breathing situation earlier. This am it’s 99.6!
He has a lot of mucous built up (which is normal) and they had to give him a nebulizer and that seemed to help his breathing a lot! All x-rays were good of his chest.
As of right now his fever is better, think it broke because he’s all sweaty/clammy. His heart rates more normal. He sure is a trooper! Drank two bottles already tho! A True Champ!
