This morning at 8:05 AM, “Patty” W. McDonald completed her end of life journey. Her daughter Julie and granddaughter Cera were with her at the time and said that her passing was very peaceful. All 4 of her children gathered together to say their final goodbyes, along with 2 spouses and long-time friend Ben. She had planned for this moment a long time ago and had a pre-paid contract with the Cremation Society of Minnesota. She is now in their capable hands. Her family stayed in her apartment after she had left and shared tears and fond memories. There will be a celebration of life at Como Park next summer. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the University of Minnesota Bee Research Lab or HealthPartners Hospice program. She is survived by 4 children, Brian, Shawn, Philip, Julie, younger sister Audrey, 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, longtime friends Ben and Ruth, and her loving feline companions “Annie” and “Handsome Harold". 💜
