It’s time for another update! Eva did so well with her hip stabilization that her doctor decided to not perform the other procedure on the vertebrae at this time, and Eva was discharged the day after her hip procedure! She recovered very quickly at home and was walking around the block with a walker 4 days later. She has continued physical therapy a few times a week and is doing really well. She is only occasionally using a cane now!
Eva had her first round of chemo at the end of last week and then went to a beach house with friends to relax for the weekend. So far she has been handling the chemo side effects very well and hasn’t had any problems with nausea and vomiting. She has been experiencing some bone pain and headaches, which is common from one of the infusions she received last week. Even through the side effects, her spirit remains resilient and she is proving just how tough she really is. She is determined to beat this cancer and the battle has begun! Her next chemo will be on Sept. 28. Please keep Eva and her family in your prayers! She’s got this! Thank you for your support! #evastrong
