Hello. I have some updates on Eric to share with you. After many attempts to wean Eric off of the ventilator the doctors feel he is ventilator dependent. He is not able to go more than 12 hours without some support. We are disappointed but I still have hope that with rest and therapy this could change someday. His vitals have been stable so Regency Hospital felt he was ready to move to a long term care facility. The choices were limited because of the vent and we  picked Benedictine Health Center of Minneapolis. He will have a private room and I am hoping for more physical and operational therapy as well as some type of speech and communication therapy. We had quite the time last week when I suggested a movie night and it took me 15 minutes to realize he was telling me to bring snacks. I was hoping he would move while I was there last week but unfortunately that did not happen. Of course he moved the day Larry and I are traveling to Philadelphia to clean our mother's house and finalize her estate. I will be back in MN to settle him in on 6/8. Any visitors this week would be welcome. I explained everything to him but I'm guessing he is a bit confused after being at Regency for 4 months.
