Dear friends and family,
Today was another appointment with the neuro-oncologist to review Dad’s MRI scan. Overall, the scan looks good but does show one small change. The scan shows a small area that is new and is considered abnormal.
This can be a common MRI finding for people who have had radiation, but they cannot determine yet if this area is radiation impacted brain cells or if it might be a new glioblastoma tumor.
Dad will have a higher definition MRI scan in a few weeks. At that time, they will be better able to determine what this area is. The hope is that there will be minimal changes, which would indicate radiation impact as opposed to a tumor.
Today Dad shared that this morning he read 2 Corinthians 12:9- And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is perfected in weakness…” We continue to take one day at a time, knowing that God’s grace will sustain us even in the midst of uncertainty. We thank you so much for all your love, prayers and support. We will send another update after the next MRI scan.
