Journal entry by Chrisoula Hadjisimos

Beloved friends, colleagues, neighbors, relatives, Clergy, and all those prayer warriors that have been at our side for over a year now,
I am sharing with you this message copied from a site that I follow. Hope you find some spiritual benefit when you read it. Years back our beloved Aunt and Yiayia Anthoula passed away. Her wish was that on her grave we inscribe “Love your enemies…” At the time I did not understand this wish of hers but by now I have gained a different perspective and respect for the grandeur and humility of her soul, may she be resting in His peace! Easy to read but hard to do! The Lord tells us though that through Him everything is possible! And He looks at the intent versus us reaching the goal. So keep intending to do good to all, friends or not! For those celebrating Easter this weekend we wish you a most blessed spiritually uplifting experience! In closing, Demetrios is doing well and sends you all his best wishes too. Come see him when you can. We love you all and are so ever grateful to each of you for your continued prayers for us as unworthy as we are.

Demetrios, Glykeria and family

There are circumstances that will NOT require us to sit with Judas. The Bible does say, "have nothing to do with them."

And then there are circumstances where the Lord will allow a Judas. And it will be really painful. And He will ask you to sit at the same table with the person that salted your name, with the one that hurt and betrayed you.

It's painful. It's learning to die to your flesh at a very deep level. Why would the Lord allow this?

We serve the God, who takes what the enemy meant for evil, and will turn it for good.  He will allow it to bring forth the character of Jesus in us. We pray to be more like Jesus. We pray more of you Lord, less of me.

So, how do we do this? Romans 12. We bless them. We pray for them. We overcome evil with good.

One important part is Romans 12:18

“If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.”

“If it is possible,” we do what we can on our end to live at peace. But as the scripture indicates, it may not be possible, because we can only be responsible for our part to ensure there is peace.

And so we do our part to live at peace and the Lord will take care of the rest.

“Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. On the contrary: “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭14‬-‭21‬ ‭

This is a painful trial but the breakthrough and fruit on the other side of our obedience, will be exceedingly abundantly above more than we could ask or imagine.

Let us not grow weary in doing good, there is harvest depending on our obedience in staying the course.

📖 Galatians 6:9

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Beloved, stay the course. He is with us in the trial. Our weakness is a portal for His power.

In His Amazing Love,
