Journal entry by Leigh Ann Trice —
This is David posting, and first thing I want to say is thank you so much for your love, support, and especially the prayers. God keeps blessing us, and we’ve been getting good news!
Saw the cardiac surgeon today, and he is pleased with the progress. I’ve been released to drive, so that will take a lot of pressure off of family and friends from carting me around to my appointments. I won’t be released for full activities until 12 weeks post surgery.
The nephrologist (renal doc) is happy with my kidney function and temporarily suspended dialysis. If lab results are favorable when I see him tomorrow then I will no longer have to do dialysis at all and can get the port/catheter taken out of my chest.
I started a small caseload of counseling clients via Telehealth and will gradually ramp it up as my energy level improves. It was great to work again! My clients have been so kind and expressed concern for my condition.
Special thanks to my wife and kids. Leigh has been my rock through all of this. I definitely chose well when I married her. My kids have been amazing. They have stepped up to help us and have been so loving and supportive. I love my family!
Blessings to you all!
