Journal entry by David Ogle

Hello Friends, Happy New Year, I'm still alive and doing well.  I thought I'd be dead four years ago.  I feel lucky sometimes.

My health news is not too bad. My two main tumors in the left lung still have not grown in a very long time.   My daily doses of chemo are working better than expected.  But,  last week's CT scan shows more rotting away of my 4th rib and further cracking of the two adjacent ribs.  I have noticed that something was happening and many many times throughout each day it was painful- but not as bad as the original "sneeze" break in 2019.

I have a new oncologist that I'm very happy with.  Dr Shailender Bhatia.  He studied at the knee of my first oncologist Dr John Thompson and has been familiar with my case since the beginning.  Something new is I may get radiation treatment on the tumor that's stuck in the bone it destroyed.  I'll meet with a radiologist next week.  My legs also hurt with neuropathy but that's being treated with pills and the pain has lessened.

Thanks to all who are still following this long and boring journey with me.  I appreciate your thoughts and prayers. Best wishes to you for a good year. I'm afraid it's going to be a crazy one.  Washington DC is broken and something needs to change.
