Hello.
I wish I could come with a cheerful message. But frankly, I’m struggling in that area right now
I had the port for feeding tube out in Thursday morning. Megan was by my side. I so appreciate her.
Woke up groggy and in some pain. Pretty normal they said. We got home about 2pm Thursday I think. Was able to lay down for about 45 minutes before going to treatment. Felt pretty rough. Had some soreness at site and tightness in my chest. Got to treatment and told them I didn’t think I could handle treatment due to not feeling well. When I was in dr office I started having horrible pain on left side of my chest. Blood pressure shot up and they ended up calling Metro Ambulance and getting hauled to ER. Spent 4+hours getting checked over which nothing was really found. They best they could come up with was that since they have to inflate your stomach to get tube port places, I still had air moving around causing the pain. Felt awful. My body is drained. Frankly exhausted of being in constant pain for something over the last 3 months. Weak, malnourished, blah , blah, blah.
Got pain meds switched once more.
Sorry to complain. I’m just ready to be done so I can start to heal.
I guess the bright side is that it wasn’t anything major, I’ve got a great support system starting with my wife. And just a couple more weeks of getting beaten up.
Today I was able to get a tube feeding in and another in a few minutes. Hoping that getting some nutrition in me will help.
They did tell me that it’s going to feel like they are trying to kill me. Well, we are there.
