Dave again: yesterday's surgery went very well, the surgeon said, and we are grateful. Dave, though, did have a negative reaction to the general anesthetic and was woozy for the evening, and the medical staff changed the "day surgery" description and kept him overnight. By the next morning he had rebounded, though still sore and tired, glad that friends provided local lodging for Edie, who chaffeured him home today. We're to return to Boston in two weeks for a follow-up.
