Dave’s Story

Site created on December 5, 2022

Thank you for coming here with your love and concern and care for Dave. His hearts desire is to see the deepest, truest, realist Love in the world. Thank you for being one with it and bringing it here. It fuels us.

Dave had his first significant heart attack in 2008, where he underwent a quadruple bypass open heart surgery. He has worked hard since then to learn lifestyle changes that could offer him the chance of reversing and healing the heart disease. He leans hard into his faith in Jesus and in recent months, after a small stroke called a Transient Ischemic attack on September 3rd that had him in intensive care for treatment for 5 days, has leaned harder into the support of his wife, Cindy, for strength in bearing the burdens of challenging changes.

Dave’s Blessing to the world has so often been music. He longs to live in the space of True Worship and we all can imagine how many lives he has touched with it.

Please Bless us by posting music that brings Him to your heart and mind in some way. You can do so by putting links into the comments throughout the CaringBridge story.

Thank you for being here. It is so good to be with you.

Journal entry by Dave Watson

We’ll, it’s been 4 months since you last heard from me.  Cindy and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary yesterday!  It was delightful, Megan having done some serious meal prep and contacting folks we know to give us a recorded message (and in one case, a live anniversary blessing and concert from Jerry and Les Jones on zoom).  We brought some historical memories and a few surprises, dressed to the nines, and had New York strip steaks.  What a treasure!!!  Earlier in the day we had our bike ride (Cindy did 20 miles, I did 16).  I find it helps to have a regular heartbeat!  I actually have felt like I could do more, go further, recover faster.  Even mowed the lawn a week ago.  The pacemaker ICD is working fine.  My weight has remained consistently in the 170s, which is a great relief to me. I’ve been making Golden Flax Bread for several weeks now.  It just feels really good to have some restored functionality.  I tried to add a couple photos - never done this before, so I’m sorry I got the one with Cindy’s eyes closed!  Her wedding dress still fits her!  She’s so beautiful, I’m so blessed to share our life together.  Looking forward to the next 50 years!!
