Hi all! Exciting developments at DaveMao.com! 

1)    The Photo Memory Gallery and Music Playlist are now live! Click on “Gallery” in the header and “See Playlist” (under Music) to check out these fun features. The playlist includes links to Spotify, so you can easily enjoy everyone’s favorite Dave Mao music memories.  (Come on—SOMEONE out there has a memory associated with this photo, right?!? Hint: London. Justin Bieber. Talent Show…) And remember: send in those song memories in the next month, and you’ll be shaping the playlist for Dave’s Dance Party! 

2)    Speaking of which… Dave’s Dance Party is exactly TWO months away! (See laura try not to panic.) If you’re planning on coming and haven’t yet RSVPed, drop everything and do it now! Otherwise we might run out of food and booze AND WE DON’T WANT THAT ;) 

3)    Please please please share your Dave Mao stories—written stories, videos, music memories…  (They can be brief! Think vignette, moments, impressions… not novel.) Your stories and memories are such a tremendous gift to me and the kids. Seriously. 

Ok. Prepare yourself. I’m about to lay it on THICK: When Dave was approaching the end, he said “I hope you all remember me as I was before.” And that’s exactly what your memories help us do… It’s like you’re throwing me a rope I can cling to and pull myself out of the intense sadness of these past couple year and remember the pure joy and laughter that Dave brought to so many. And your memories help paint a picture for the kids, so that when they grow up, they’ll know more fully who their Daddy was. This is such a huge gift to them, but also… such a gift to Dave. He wanted so much to have the chance to share his stories with them, and he would love—LOVE—knowing that you were taking care of this for him. 

And if that doesn’t motivate you, did I mention before that there will be prizes?? Oh yeah…. Everyone who contributes to the website will have the chance to win some super sweet Dave Mao swag. So if appeasing Ghost Dave doesn’t motivate you, maybe the chance to WIN PRIZES will? :P

4)    Still to come: Your video memories and tributes, the Dave Mao Trivia Game, AAAAAaaannnd, the official “Design a Dave Mao t-shirt” contest, which I had on my to-do list to launch May 27, but here it is May 27 and… I guess I haven’t launched it yet, BUT… that doesn’t mean you can’t start THINKING about it! So take a break from your day-jobs, and let those creative juices flow….
