Things never seem to let up much when you’re in this battle! Two weeks ago at my doctor’s request I had a colonoscopy! As we all know they are a real pain butt this was “the colonoscopy from hell’! The “cocktails” started at 5:00 and made my stomach a wreck! The noise from my stomach was so loud it woke Kim up! Finally at 3:00 I took my second one, which made the first seem like a walk in the park! By 6:30 it was coming out both ends and I felt terrible! I get to the facility and they are not going to do the procedure because I’ve gone into atrial fillabration for the first time ever! I tell the Dr that if you don’t do it now, I am never coming back, as this challenged me to my wits end! He put something in my IV to make it possible to do it!  On Friday I went to my PC doctor that afternoon about my afib. He referred me to a cardiologist who I liked and he told me what needed done!  He said they would call early in the week to make my appointment! Well, I never heard from his office or scheduling for the next week! Friday night I have a bad night and become short of breath! I woke Kim up and we headed to the ER! We went to Austin Heart and they were amazing! It is hard to get specialists on the weekend but we arrived around 8:15 and the Dr on call managed to put together a team to do the procedure on me. We had to wait until 12:30 to get them all together, but they were awesome! The afib was corrected and we were so thankful! So fortunate to be this lucky on a Saturday! My BP and pulse was going crazy in afib but I think its under control now!

I have another petscan coming up and will be
praying for a good result! It’s been a couple tough weeks but as it goes “ tough times never last but tough people do”! Today is Sunday and I’m feeling better! I just need a period of “ ho hum” nothing new to report in my life! On the good side I will never do another colonoscopy! Yippee!!!!!
