Welcome to Coach Fran’s CaringBridge website. Thank you for the outpouring of love and support. We can’t tell you how much it means to us to be included in your thoughts and prayers. We have put this site together to keep you as informed as we can and to give you the opportunity to share your messages as we meet this challenge. As Dad has said many times to his players, “Tough times never last, but tough people do.” KAWC and MTXE. To GOD be the glory!

Journal entry by Dennis Franchione

Today is my day- birthday 🎂!

I am now 5 weeks and 2 days post surgery! It has been a slow comeback! I can bend my leg to 100 degrees and I need to get to 120. I have work to do and lots of therapy! I met with my oncologist on Monday. I had 9 viles of blood taken! It’s no wonder I didn’t need a blood transfusion after all of that! The test results came back good. We talked about my leg & after 5 surgeries, 3 in the last 2 and 1/2 years, I suggested putting a zipper on my leg for easier access! My mobility is still a little limited and my oncologist said that  my leg looks like a “small bomb” went off in it! Wednesday I saw my surgeon and was given a good progress report, even clearing me to play golf!

Kim has made this a special day for me! Ashley, David and the boys arrive any minute! Brad, Gunner and Isabella will be here for Easter! Here’s to hoping everyone has a special day for Easter! The sacrifice Jesus made for us makes this day one to behold!
